### The 3-Point Setup
To get that cinematic look, you need three main lights:
1. **Key Light**: The main source of light, placed at a 45-degree angle to the subject.
2. **Fill Light**: A softer light placed on the opposite side to reduce shadows created by the key light.
3. **Back Light (or Hair Light)**: Placed behind the subject to separate them from the background and create depth.
### Budget Friendly Alternatives
Don't have $500 for lights? Use a large window as your key light during the day, a cheap white poster board as a reflector for your fill, and a basic desk lamp for your backlight.
